There's an account of a king whose kingdom was threatened by an army much larger than his own. When he heard of the danger headed his way, his first response was to pray and worship God. The next day, on the way to war, he worshiped God again, and put worshippers on the front line to lead them to battle. When God miraculously delivered them from their would-be attackers, they worshiped again in victory.
"And the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side." -2 Chronicles 20:30.
The king fixed his eyes on his Savior above all else, and worship was the tool he used to do that.
Life is full of highs and lows. Peace and war. Sometimes we need rescuing. But we should always be praising the Rescuer. Hallelujah. I believe worship is the proper response at all times, and I would love to join you on the front line.
